Born and raised in Barcelona, Monica Egea developed her creative foundation through studies at the School of Fashion Styling before continuing her education at the prestigious London College of Fashion. Her training in fashion cultivated a sophisticated understanding of colour, texture, proportion, craftsmanship, and layering – elements that continue to define her distinctive approach to interior design.

In 2013, Monica moved to South Africa and joined the team, where she quickly established herself as a sought-after designer. Specialising in wardrobes, dressing rooms, fabrics, soft furnishings, and refined interior details, she brings a unique fashion-led perspective to every project, creating interiors that are both beautifully curated and deeply personal.

Monica’s fashion background allows her to approach a home much like a couturier approaches a bespoke garment: every detail must be carefully considered, perfectly tailored, and reflective of the individual. Her exceptional eye for texture, materiality, and composition enables her to create spaces that feel elegant, balanced, and effortlessly timeless.

Having developed extensive experience in kitchen and interior design, Lee excels at balancing aesthetics with functionality. Charlotte Matlhakgane’s journey with DOMUM is a testament to dedication, ambition, and continuous personal growth. Originally from the small town of Bochum (Senwabarwana) in Limpopo, Charlotte joined the company in 2014 and has steadily progressed through a variety of roles, building a deep understanding of the business from the ground up.

Beginning her career in showroom operations, Charlotte quickly demonstrated exceptional initiative and a natural ability to connect with clients. She progressed into reception and administrative roles before moving into the design department, where her passion for interiors, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn became immediately apparent.

Today, as Assistant Designer, Charlotte plays an important role in supporting the design team throughout the project journey. Her hands-on experience across multiple areas of the business gives her a unique perspective, allowing her to understand both the creative and practical aspects of delivering exceptional client experiences.

Known for her strong work ethic, meticulous organisation, and positive attitude, Charlotte approaches every project with enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn and grow.
