Born in Cape Town, Colin completed his B.Com and post graduate degrees at UCT and qualified as a Chartered Accountant, working for Ernst & Young in Cape Town and in the UK. He then spent 5 years as a senior finance manager at Canada Life Assurance Company in London. What followed was a total career change. Colin left the financial world to pursue his passion, embarking on an international operatic singing career. He became only the third South African tenor in history to achieve the “Grand Slam” in opera – to sing in all of the 5 major opera houses in the world. After 20 years abroad, Colin returned to South Africa in 2013 to co-found DOMUM where he could combine his financial and creative skills in a unique way in the world of design.

Born in Barcelona, Ramón has 30 years’ experience designing spectacular spaces. With a passion for kitchen design, Ramón started working for bulthaup in Barcelona at the age of 19. He furthered his interior design studies in Italy before moving to bulthaup in London in 2002. It was there that his creativity, his flair for design and his unique understanding of spaces, caught the eye of many in high society, making him a favourite amongst the rich and famous. His clientele included Hollywood rock stars, film directors and actors, successful business tycoons as well as some of the great European architects and interior designers of the day. Co-founding DOMUM in South Africa in 2013 presented him with an opportunity to continue pushing the boundaries of design. South Africa’s natural beauty and lifestyle, as reflected in the architectural designs of its homes, has inspired Ramón to find true expression in creating magnificent kitchens on a scale not often seen.

After studying interior design, Lisl first discovered her love for kitchen design at bulthaup in London. After several years designing kitchen and interior spaces in London, Lisl returned to her birthplace South Africa where she joined DOMUM in 2013. With over 25 years of kitchen and interior design experience, she has the ability to guide and support her clients throughout their journey, ensuring that she achieves a design that exceeds their expectations on every possible level. When it comes to your home, Lisl believes that it should reflect your personality, your lifestyle and how you use the space every day. Innovation is key, whilst creating a timeless look that will remain modern and contemporary for years to come.

Having completed her studies at the School of Fashion Styling in Barcelona, Monica moved to London where she continued to expand her knowledge at the London College of Fashion. In 2015 Monica moved to South Africa and joined DOMUM. It was not long before she demonstrated her skill in the field of fabrics and soft furnishings. Now, after a decade designing home interiors, specialising in wardrobes, fabrics and furnishings, Monica is in much demand with clients. Her warm-hearted personality, combined with her wonderful laugh, her love for life and for people, give her a unique ability to build long term relationship with her clients. Monica also has her own Fashion Label, making women’s bags, purses and fashion accessories.

Lee holds a background in architecture and spent 7 years honing her craft at a prominent architectural firm in Cape Town.
She joined the DOMUM team in 2015, bringing with her a deep appreciation for functional, thoughtfully designed spaces. Over the past 10 years, Lee has helped shape the aesthetic of many of our most refined projects, applying her architectural sensibility to the world of luxury furniture and interior design. While naturally more reserved, Lee’s thorough technical knowledge of the product and her deep commitment to each project, engender within her clients a high degree of confidence in her abilities and in the end result.

Charlotte hails from the small town of Bochum (Senwabarwana) in Limpopo.
Charlotte started working at DOMUM in 2014, initially as a showroom cleaner. However, it wasn’t long before she was taking on the role of receptionist, taking telephone calls and liaising with clients. By 2016 she was carrying out administrative duties for the company.
In 2018 Charlotte started helping the Designers with their work and shortly thereafter became Assistance Junior Designer and then Assistant Designer.

Starting her journey with bulthaup, she quickly embraced the brand’s values and commitment to exceptional design. As Head of Operations, Kaylin oversees every installation, bringing a meticulous eye for detail and a hands-on, collaborative approach. She’s played a key role in some of the most exclusive projects across Africa. Working closely with her experienced team, as well as top architects and contractors, Kaylin ensures every project is completed to the highest standards—and that each client’s vision is brought to life beautifully.

Shanice is responsible for our shipping, warehousing, local deliveries and liaising with our clients in this regard. She plays a key role in ensuring that the daily operations run smoothly to meet the highest standards of the company.

Joining this highly skilled team during 2018, Deidre, a qualified accountant with completed articles and 8 years’ experience in commerce, has the broad scope of skills required in the role of Financial Accountant. Having previously worked in the wine industry, importing and exporting wines, and in the solar power Industry, she decided to pursue her career in the retail industry in line with her passion for luxury brands.
Working alongside the CEO, Deidre’s unique understanding of the financial aspects of the business together with the relationship DOMUM has with its clients, makes her an indispensable part of the DOMUM Team.

Clarky is originally from Bochum, Limpopo. She later moved to Johannesburg where she joined DOMUM in 2015.
With 10 years of service, Clarky is dedicated to her job ensuring that the showrooms are maintained to the highest standards. As the main marketing tool of the company, the showrooms reflect the company’s attention to detail and demonstrate its care for the product and, by extension, its care for the clients that it serves. Clarky takes great pride in ensuring that the showrooms always look splendid for an excellent client experience.
In 2025 Clarky relocated to Cape Town where she continues her work in the Cape Town showroom. In her free time she enjoys South Africa TV shows and social media.

Thierry came to South Africa from Burundi at the age of 15, fleeing from the civil conflict in that country in the 1990s. Starting out with nothing in a new country was not easy.
However, Thierry overcame the challenges with determination and hard work and a positive attitude to life.
It was this attitude that first brought Thierry to the attention of DOMUM while he was working as a security guard nearby the showroom.
Thierry joined DOMUM in 2020, initially as a showroom assistant. His role expanded to include driving the company van. So, if you notice the black and white DOMUM van on the roads around Cape Town, it is Thierry behind the wheel, ensuring that your goods arrive safely!
